Jon “Zeb” Berger
Mandolin, Bass, Vocals
Zeb was brought up on Cape Cod, is partial
to quahogs, scupp and all-nighters spent on the rooftops of
boathouses in Hyannis. On his first trans-atlantic voyage as a
Mercantiller, a storm came up that stove the boat and tossed
the crew into the churning sea. As his ears rang from the
piercing cries of his mates, that one by one succumbed to the
deep, he spied what would become his salvation....a double-bass
floating high in the water. The grand instrument shook itself
free from the hold and came to the surface not three feet from
Zeb's hands. He grabbed hold with all his strength and vowed he
would never let go.
Jon has played with several groups and
performers including Earshot, Wronco (formerly The St.
Ballentine School Orchestra), Henry Elsesser, Heather Greene,
White Collar Crime, The Burlesque Troubadors and Per Contra.
